Next up we began a dynamic discussion about Linked-In with Sean E. Nelson with Acuity Benefits Solutions and marketing consultant Leslie-Anne McAllister.

Leslie-Anne drew on her many years working with the Yellow Pages about ways small business owners can use Linked-In more profitably.

Sean has been thoroughly researching ways to use Linked-In and he shared some great tips. Here are 3 ways Sean built his network 1- Searched on companies he had worked  for and schools he had attended to reconnect with people he had known in the past 2- Looked through his own CardScan contact list for people he had met though Chamber events. 3-Searched for people he had met while doing business including current clients.

Sean also shared some great tips about common mistakes people make on Linked-In...like using the canned text they provide when sending out connection invitations rather than personalizing their message. You'll have to listen to the show with a pencil and paper to write down all the great tips that were thrown out by our guests.
